President: Development of regions is key area in country’s economic growth

Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2018. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbaiy Jeenbekov met yesterday with the residents of Kemin region, Chuy oblast within his visit, the press service of the Kyrgyz President's Office reported.

In his speech, the country leader took note of the good conditions not only for the development of agriculture, but also other branches of production in Kemin region, as well as fertile Chuy Valley. The region has a developed transport infrastructure; there are great opportunities to enter major markets and the neighboring countries.

Jeenbekov dwelled on the ongoing foreign policy, describing his visits to the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, the institutions of the European Union, China and the reached agreements.

The President noted that he paid his first official visit to the Russian Federation as the country leader, business and trust relations were established with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Russia is a strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan.

"Residents of Kemin region have experienced the positive results of the partnership with Russia. The Astra Solar Technology company, established with Russian partners and which started operating in the region, is the only enterprise in the CIS that produces single-crystal ingots and plates using HJT technology for the solar energy market. The total worth of the project is $5-9 million. The expected profit is 1 billion soms, revenues to the budget are expected to be in the amount of 120 million soms annually. Within the project, 200-300 jobs are planned to be created, "Jeenbekov said.

The country leader placed particular emphasis on the issues of regional development. "If villages develop, the country will develop. Therefore, I signed the Decree on the Announcement of 2018 as the Year of Regional Development. If we address the issues identified as priority, in particular, providing clean water to the villagers, improving the irrigation system, construction of processing enterprises in the regions, and other pressing problems of villages, the country will develop", the President noted, and added: "If working places will be created in villages, the centers of culture and rest will work, the quality of services in the spheres of education and health care will improve, speaking generally - comfortable conditions for people's lives will be created, then internal and external migration will decrease. People will live in their villages and develop them".

The President noted that these issues will be at the center of his attention not only this year, but all six years of his work as the President of the country. He noted that he would take personal control of the implementation of the tasks set.

It was noted that mortgage lending, which started successfully, has recently slowed down. In the near future, increased attention will be paid to enhancing the implementation of the state mortgage program. Measures will be taken to reduce mortgage rates from 8 to 6 percents. "Mortgage will be available not only to state employees, but also for all who need housing", the Kyrgyz leader noted.

Jeenbekov, once again stressing that the fight against corruption is a priority direction of his presidential activity, called citizens to support and help him in this important and difficult matter.

The country leader, speaking on the development of the economy as a strategic direction, stressed that creation of favorable conditions for domestic and foreign investors is the main task of the local authorities, law enforcement and fiscal bodies.

The villagers referred to the completion of the construction of the hospital in the district center, roads, infrastructure improvement, clean water supply, sales problems, lack of schools, creation of cooperatives, granting preferential loans to farmers and peasants, strengthening state control over the religious situation in the country, improving the personnel policy and other .
