Bottom Up

Who doesn’t know G7 anti-Chinese, pro-poverty project?

The just-ended meeting, summit, conference, workshop, sun-bathing,  or however you wish to describe the  talks in the United Kingdom (UK)  among the countries calling themselves the group of seven (G7) leading  economies, France,  Germany,  United Kingdom,  Canada, Japan, and the United States of America was probably the most successful in the history of international cooperation, relations,  and development.

Successful because the members of that group did not mince their words or hide their plans and intentions for the world.

The President of the United States of America, Joe Bidden, said during his campaigns last year that his country will not tolerate a militarily and economically successful China.

At his swearing-in ceremony in January 2021, he announced that America was back, to which Donald Trump’s Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, retorted, “Back to what?”

Well, the answer to Pompeo is simple. America is back to rallying European countries and Japan around its hegemony, the belief that only America can be first, economically, militarily, and otherwise. America is the world leader destined by God.

America is the bastion of human rights where everybody is equal (although we know the atrocities being committed by police to people of Bantu origin there).

The World Bank, Internationally Monetary Fund (IMF) and other institutions that rank world economies say China is the second largest and strongest economy in the world and it will rank first in less than 10 years from 2020.

If the grouping of economies was genuine, the G7 would be thus: USA, China, Japan, Germany, India, United Kingdom, and France. Italy and Canada do not, therefore, qualify as members of the G7.

The G7 was formed in 1975 and clinging to it in 2021 is mere political hangover since militarily and economically rankings have drastically changed.  China has landed a probe on planet Mars, another one on the dark side of the moon, the first and only country to have done so. India is also up in space.

China and India have built railways, roads and agriculture production and processing systems in the so-called poor countries while the so-called G7 is looking the other side.  The so-called G7 club is jealousy and worried that the centre of world authority to dictate world policies is slipping away, gradually.

On behalf of the developing countries or poor countries (Poor? Timakadya kwanu?), the president of South Africa, asked, or pleaded, with the so-called G7 to release patents for covid-19 medicines, notably Pfizer-BioNTech (American-German companies), so that the drugs could be massively produced locally, at least in South Africa, to ensure that more people than the two (2) percent of Africans have access to the vaccines in good time to heal and protect the entire continent.

The so-called G7 refused (although America had no problem), preferring instead to donate 500 million Covid doses over two years. Two years? Covid-19 will sit phwii for two years?

Why not release the patents?  Africa and the so-called poor countries will stand on their own and decide their own vaccination programmes. Why not release the patents?  Covid-19, like HIV and Aids, and death, is big business: disease and death business (DDB).

The big pharmaceutical industries are raking in money. If Covid-19 suddenly disappears, the big pharmaceuticals, will be poor. So, capitalist political logic is: keep some people ill (as long as they are not your people) so the disease and death industry prospers.  Profit or nothing is how capitalism works.

China and Russia were amongst the first countries to produce Covid-19 vaccines. Over 300 millions have already been shipped to the world for free. China and Russia did not sit down to wait for two years. Sharing to save life first and make money later, is how socialism, or socio-capitalism works.

And G7 Covid-19 vaccines are likely to be turned down in Arab or Muslim countries because vaccination programmes have ever been weaponised before, including the CIA successful plan to capture Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

In short, the G7 is a mere club of haters, fear mongers, anti-Chinese countries that have not fully graduated from their collective pro-poverty mentality. They want everybody to be poor and pray, bow in hand, unto them. Mwagwa nayo. China is on the rise. So, is Malawi. No?
