Jusoor signs agreement with Tecnimont Oman

Muscat: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Jusoor and Tecnimont Oman, EPC contractor of the Liwa Plastics Industries Complex Project – Package 2, to fund the construction of a parking area, lighting poles and landscaping of the Liwa Cultural Centre project, being implemented by Jusoor Foundation in the wilayat of Liwa.
The MoU was signed by Sheikh Muhanna bin Saif bin Salim Al Lamki, Chairman of Jusoor Foundation and Governor of North Batinah, and Marko Crivelli, Tecnimont Project Director, in the presence of representatives from the Foundation, Orpic and Tecnimont.
"Tecnimont Oman is committed to its social responsibilities in its continuous endeavour to contribute effectively to sustainable development initiatives,” Ibrahim Mohammed Al Kawi, HR and External Affairs Manager at Tecnimont, said.
“As part of its social responsibility programmes, the company is keen to support and participate in social work that has a positive impact on the communities in which it operates,” he added.
Tecnimont Oman's cooperation with the Jusoor Foundation by signing this MoU is aimed at supporting the Corporate Social Responsibility programmes carried out by Jusoor to promote the local community in all its social, economic and environmental aspects.
Under the terms of the MoU, Tecnimont will fund the construction of 111 parking spaces, 32 lighting poles, as well as landscaping with a modern irrigation system at a total cost of OMR100,000.
The work will commence in February 2019 and will be completed in April 2019.
Based in Italy, Tecnimont is an international leader in the engineering, procurement and construction of large-scale projects worldwide and is currently carrying out the engineering, procurement and construction works of Package 2 of the Liwa Plastic Industries Complex project, one of Orpic strategic growth projects.
